Selfishness Personified

Selfishness destroys the essence of friendship. Yes! sad but true, there exist people in the world that embody this spiteful nature. Being selfish for a right cause is good, but being selfish at the cost of others is a strict no-no. Unfortunately, in the realm of friendship, such is the rancorous nature of some that they exhume old wounds only to punish others and yet feel justified in doing so. Life is like a game, it does not deal out cards alike to everyone, if it did what is the point in playing the game! But the selfish one he identifies himself as the sole victim of a past tragedy, all the while making victims of those around him. Selfishness is contagious, if one in a group is selfish and self-centered, the equilibrium is disturbed therefore resulting in unrest among some of the others. And so the poison spreads....it brings forth disintegration as each one thinks of their own and the selfish one silently rejoices in his victory as he has conquered the rest. Soon he acts as the glue to bring everyone together only to gain control and vanquish all those who rose against him. He picks the ones to be shunned and his victims unwittingly approve! Beware of his silence, it is only the calm before the storm he is going to rage.The bitter ones that fall prey to his design are driven insane and soon as he wills they are cast away. The only ones he chooses are the ones who obey!
